LiveseySolar launches new Pinnacle Therapy website (Case Study)

Pinnacle Therapy, led by Richard Reid, a well-established psychotherapist in London, came to us to discuss consolidating their three websites into a robust, contemporary, and compelling new digital look and feel for the company. This post explores the business problem we faced, our approach to the challenge, and of course the final outcome, part of which you can glimpse directly below.

The healthcare business problem

The previous three websites, designed over several years of practice, focused on Pinnacle’s different markets: 1) individuals seeking therapy services like counselling and psychotherapy, 2) the corporate or public sector organisation aiming to address productivity and coping with on-the-job stress, and 3) the media, for which Richard has become a spokesperson in the area of psychotherapy and counselling – appearing on many of the major broadcasters (BBC, ITV and soon, SKY).

As is easy to see below, the three websites when viewed all together, did not put forward a recognisable, consistent or contemporary digital brand presence.

How we approached this healthcare business challenge

First, we conducted a web audit that enabled us to make recommendations mainly focusing on consolidating their websites with an aim towards not only increasing visitors to the site, but also converting more of them into prospects.

After meeting with Pinnacle and specifying what the website would need to do, we followed our website build process. This process in a nutshell includes doing background research into the industry, market and its competitors, finding and collating assets, designing a concept board, writing draft copy, designing templates, populating content, optimising for search engines (SEO), testing and finally, migrating the site to a new host that would have the capability of handing high traffic spikes when the television series airs.

How the client felt with the final website (testimonial)

“The work that LiveseySolar have carried out for us has not only met our expectations but has also far exceeded them. The final product looks great and was delivered exactly on time. Almost as importantly for me, it felt that LiveseySolar completely understood our objectives for the site; meaning that I was never worried about having to “manage the process” and was free to devote most of my attention to other pressing areas of the business.

LiveseySolar use a great project management tool which continually kept us updated on progress and prompted us whenever our active input was required. This inevitably helped to take the anxiety of the process and provided us with constant reassurance that they had things completely under control. I would heartily recommend LiveseySolar to anyone looking to take their business to the next level with minimal disruption!”

Introducing the new website for Pinnacle!

We’ve included several examples of the finished look in the following images. To experience the website for yourself, click any of the images and you’ll be directed to the relevant page.

Starting with the home page, we designed a slider that highlighted the ten most common phobias, highlighting how Pinnacle’s treatments are 100% effective in treating them.

To address the different specialities of the business, we utilised an icon system to highlight the areas we were addressing, and repeated these throughout the website. We also strengthened calls to action throughout the website, as seen below:

Richard has written over 150 articles for his blog over the years, and these – like so many blog posts – were buried deep in the old website. We invited visitors into these blog posts on the home page:

Pinnacle has an abundance of testimonials, many which provide an excellent perspective on what’s most important about therapy, and the truly life changing results people get. We selected some of these testimonials and coupled them with evocative imagery to balance the site’s predominance of images of people who were suffering from issues:

When the media call, you can’t make them jump through hoops to find the information they need. This is why we put all of Richard’s media information on one page, including images of where he has appeared in the past to help reinforce him as a known quantity that the media can rely upon to provide a professional perspective on matters of interest to their audience:

Richard has an abundance of case studies and testimonials that we wanted to feature in the context of the issue people were interested in. Each issue was illustrated with an evocative image, a case study, and expository copy. We created several sidebars for the different sections of the website, all of which contain a MailChimp form, and credibility enhancing imagery associating Pinnacle with the upcoming television show.

Richard’s experience and qualifications make him an excellent choice for anyone seeking assistance with issues of a psychological nature. It was important to us to provide him with a platform in which he could share his credentials clearly and convincingly:

The market of people seeking therapy services care about locations where the therapy is provided. We emphasised that Pinnacle Therapy therapists not only practice over Skype, but are also conveniently located in two locations to serve their London clients. Note the customised Google Map that shows Pinnacle’s logo where it is located in London and Richmond.:

Final words

We couldn’t be happier with the results of the website and are proud to add it to our portfolio of websites built around helping businesses look and feel as good on the internet, as they feel offline. I’d like to thank Laura Livesey, who designed the look and feel of the site, including writing all call to actions; Sandra Reither, who carried out the bulk of the copy and SEO work; and Lisa Wisgigl and Stephanie Knopp, who helped with content population and design implementation. I took on the job of project manager, designing the website architecture, and writing most of the copy for the website.

We look forward to working with Richard Reid, and the Pinnacle Therapy team, as they continue to grow the business from strength to strength.
