  • The total UK private healthcare market grew by 3.9% and 1.4% in 2012 and 2013, respectively and is forecast to grow by 2.3% in 2015. Annual growth rates are expected to accelerate between 2016 and 2018, growing to 3.3% in the latter year

About the Directors



Ms Livesey first got the entrepreneurial bug during her summers while at university where she did an undergraduate program in biology at the University of British Columbia. After loving her work on summer marketing projects for local businesses, she jumped at the chance to be mentored by the Canadian government’s Youth Entrepreneurship Program. Following a successful business launch and competition win which allowed her business to acquire seed funding, she set out to change Canadian businesses with highly targeted direct response marketing. With her biology background, healthcare businesses were a natural fit, and soon, the company began to establish a niche in non-profits, healthcare charities, hospitals and laser eye surgery businesses. In 2002, a project in the UK exposed Laura to the lack of healthcare marketing firms in Europe, and she saw a big opportunity for the firm to expand and serve the European market. Over the last 13 years Laura has tested the effectiveness of hundreds of marketing tactics while working with clients such as the NHS, Canadian Cancer Society, GlaxoSmithKline, T-Mobile, ExxonMobil and many high quality laser eye surgery clinics. Laura has a passion for developing an authentic voice for clients that establishes them as an important niche player in their market.



Rod’s favourite professional activity is teaching. He spends most of his time creating and giving complex multi-resource sales, customer service and marketing training. Mr Solar also enjoys working with senior managers in healthcare organisations to develop their corporate training plans. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and academic qualifications in instructional design, instruction and coaching, Rod has taught students at undergraduate and post-graduate levels. He has developed and taught many courses over the past 15 years to participants in North America, Europe and the Middle East. Mr. Solar is highly adept at catalysing the inner resources in his audience’s reserves. He builds his trainings around exercises that brings them out, and instills the confidence his participants need to hit the ground running on day one after training. Rod consistently generates rave reviews for his speaking, and his keynote addresses such as the annual ESCRS (European Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgeons) is the highlight of the conference practice development program. Apart from writing all the manuals and presentation decks for our courses, Rod enjoys writing articles about healthcare marketing and training and sharing them on our blog. His work has been featured in Independent Practitioner Today and the ESCRS EuroTimes. Rod has a passion for making learning easy, and he enjoys helping our clients to make change – one step at a time.
